    • This website is based on the thesis of Steven Mc Morrow, whilst studying for a degree on Spatial Planning and Environmental Management.
    • The thesis focused on a protected areas inventory database which allowed users to check if an area qualified for protection under environmental legislation based on its habitat type or species located there in.


    • The website has now been updated to assist in -

      • Phase 1 Habitat surveys.
      • Preliminary impact assessments of proposed developments under Article 6 of the Habitats Directive.
      • Maintenance and development of Natura 2000 sites.
      • Provides information for use in management plans of any ecological area.
      • Provides information for site monitoring which is required to assess the current effectiveness of a site.
